A 68-year-old motorist was robbed by a lone gunman at the George Sewpersad Street and Old Main Road intersection in Verulam – KZN.
The victim arrived at Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) HQ in a white Isuzu bakkie. He informed Reaction Officers that he was transporting four customers from his Waist Recycling Business in Missionlands to the Verulam CBD – KZN.
He was stationary at the intersection when the suspect accosted him, produced a firearm and robbed him of R4000 in cash and his Samsung cellphone. The robber then fled on foot in an unknown
direction.
Reaction Officers conducted an extensive search for the suspect, but no arrests were made.
