Vehicle on fire in Verulam

A silver Ford Bantam bakkie was extensively damaged after it caught alight on Wick Street in the Verulam CBD – KZN.

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) arrived on scene and met the driver. He explained that he had just uplifted the bakkie after it had been repaired.

He was travelling on Wick Street when he noticed smoke emanating from the engine compartment. The vehicle then burst into flames. The fire was extinguished by the Ethekwini Fire Department.

The vehicle was extensively damaged.
