A drunk driver was arrested after he ran over a pedestrian on Todd Street in Verulam – KZN.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) arrived on scene and discovered a female lying on a grass verge in-front of a white Toyota Corolla. According to witnesses, the vehicle veered off the road and struck the pedestrian.
The driver was heavily intoxicated. He was placed under arrest by SAPS Officials.
The injured female was stabilised on scene before being transported to hospital by ambulance.
