An elderly couple were robbed in their home by three suspects on Redcliffe Drive in Redcliffe – KZN.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were dispatched to the property. On arrival, Reaction Officers met with the 67-year-old male and his 63-year-old wife.
They explained that three unknown males entered their yard. At least one of the men was armed with a knife. They accosted the female victim in the yard before entering the house and confronting the elderly male.
The robbers assaulted the male victim before they stole a Samsung A2 cellphone and a pair of takkies. They thereafter fled in an unknown direction. The victims were not seriously injured.
Reaction Officers conducted an extensive search for the suspects, but no arrests were made.
