MEC Mathye calls for stakeholder collaboration at Transport Month launch

Limpopo MEC for Transport and Community Safety, Violet Mathye, launched the Provincial 2024 October Transport Month Programme, today, 11 October, at Mokgophong Community Hall.

Attendees included the Chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Transport and Community Safety, the Executive Mayor and local mayors within the Waterberg District, representatives from the South African Council of Churches, South African Police Service, Gateway Airports Authority Limited, Cross-Border Road Transport Agency, South African Small Bus Operators Council, SANTACO, NTA and community structures in Modimolle-Mookgophong Local Municipality.

This launch kicks off a month long campaign of promoting responsible driving, exploring rail and air travel, and fostering collaboration among transport stakeholders to create a safer, more efficient, and sustainable transport sector.
