Police are searching for two accused persons who absconded after they were convicted and sentenced for murder

The police seek assistance from the public to find two males who absconded after they were found guilty of murder and sentenced by the Johannesburg High Court.

The duo, Denish Moodley and Ugresen Perumal (pictured) made an appeal after they were found guilty of killing Mr Avinash Manjanu in Lenasia South in 2017. The accused were each sentenced to 25 years’ imprisonment. However, their appeal was dismissed, and the court ordered the two to hand themselves over to the authorities where they will commence with their sentences. Instead, the duo decided to abscond and disappeared.

Police are appealing to anyone who might have information about the whereabouts of Dinesh Moodley and Ugresen Perumal, whose warrant of arrests have been issued, to please call Colonel Nelson Manganyi on 079 529 4642 or Sergeant Isaac Mokati on 072 326 9067.
