Shots were fired during a robbery on Spinach Road in Waterloo – KZN.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to the scene at approximately 08:34.
On arrival, Reaction Officers met with an Ethiopian national who explained that he was in the process of transferring stock from his vehicle to his tuck shop when three men accosted him.
The victim attempted to flee on foot, but one of the suspects fired shots in his direction.
The businessman fell and was robbed of his wallet containing cash and his Samsung A36 cellphone.
The suspects thereafter fled on foot in an unknown direction.
A 9mm spent cartridge was recovered at the scene.
No injuries were reported.
