During the early hours of Sunday morning, Fidelity ADT Supervisor for the West was in the Fairview area when he heard dogs barking excessively in Oregon street and decided to investigate.
When he approached a bushy area, he noticed four males carrying a large amount of goods and immediately called for backup as he sprang into action.
When the males noticed the team approaching, they dropped all the goods and managed to flee into the bushes. The officers found multiple household goods including plasma TV’s, clothing, and food. SAPS was notified and all the goods were booked in at the Walmer police station.
But the story did not end there as the team was adamant to find where the break in occurred. After a 24-hour search, the team managed to track down the homeowner who fell victim to the crime and assisted him to get all his stolen items back from the Walmer police station.
The grateful homeowner thanked the team for their vigilance and determination!
