Stolen vehicle recovered in Flamingo Heights

A blue Volkswagen Golf that was stolen from a block of flats on Canary Crescent in Flamingo Heights – KZN was recovered approximately 400 meters away by Reaction Officers.

A member of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) was on patrol in the area when he noticed the vehicle parked on the roadside. The hazards were activated and the driver’s door was ajar. The RUSA Member stopped to investigate and discovered that the car was hot wired.

The Reaction Officer conducted a registration check which confirmed that the car was not reported stolen. While attempting to track the owner, a female contacted the RUSA Tongaat Operations Centre to report her blue VW Golf stolen.

The caller was informed that her car was recovered and attempts were being made to locate her.
