KZNVIP Emergency Teams Responded to a panic activation from the elderly female who was injured and severely traumatized following the incident.
The 83-year-old female was assessed on scene by KZNVIP Medics for injuries after being beaten by suspects as they demanded valuables.
The elderly female was conducting her daily duties when she heard noises from the lounge area when she was confronted by two African male suspects in a full black dirty attire, suspected to be drug users from the area.
The female was tied up by suspects and dragged into a room where she was locked in whilst they ransacked the home
The suspects managed to evade arrest with an undisclosed amount of valuables.
SAPS and all other necessary services were in attendance.
