The vigilance of Mossel Bay Sea Border members ensured that a man find himself behind bars after drugs with an estimated street value of R70 000-00 was found in his possession along the R328 outside Mossel Bay.
On Monday, 28 October 2024 at about 14:00, the members conducted patrols near Sonskyn Vallei when they noticed a suspicious looking man. They approached the suspect and ensued with a search during which they found 999 mandrax tablets as well as 61 grams of tik in his possession. The police confiscated the discovery and arrested the man on a charge of dealing in drugs.
The suspect (35) who is in police custody, is expected to appear in the Mossel Bay Magistrates’ court on Tuesday, 29 October 2024 on mentioned charge.
