Two drug-dealer suspects nabbed during a well-coordinated operation at Capricorn District

Two male suspects aged 50 and 65 were nabbed at Westenburg and Seshego policing area, in Capricorn District for dealing, and possession of drugs, and for possession of unlicensed firearm with ammunition on Saturday, 02 November 2024.

In Westenburg, a 50-year-old man was arrested by members of Provincial Organised Crime at his house, after he was found in possession of drug tablets. They were 30x tablets of mandrax with an estimated street value of R3000-00.

Another male suspect aged 65 was nabbed for possession and dealing in drugs at Chebeng, Seshego policing area. He was found in possession of 300x mandrax tablets with an estimated street value of R30 000-00 (thirty thousand rands). He was also found in possession of an unlicensed firearm with ammunition. Further investigations will be conducted to ascertain if the firearm is not linked to other crimes.

The Provincial Commissioner of police in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, has welcomed the arrest, recovery of drugs, firearms and ammunition.

The suspects are expected to appear before the respective local Magistrate’s Court soon.

The Police investigations are ongoing.
