Members of Operation Vala Umgodi in the Frances Baard District confiscated a significant amount of diesel at a house in Phuthanang in Kimberley.
On Thursday 07 November 2024, members of both Proactive and Combat Teams received intelligence driven information regarding a house in Samora Machel Street where diesel was allegedly stored and sold. The information was operationalised, and diesel was found stored in 25 litre containers, hidden in an unused toilet. No satisfactory explanation was given with regard to its ownership.
Large quantities of suspected stolen diesel estimated at R7000-00 was confiscated and an enquiry was opened for further investigation.
