In a joint operation, members of SAPS, Gauteng Traffic Wardens, and officials from Health and Consumer Affairs inspected stores in the Fochville area for illicit and expired goods.
Four shops were closed by the Consumer Office, while one was shut down by Municipal Health Services due to unhygienic conditions.
The Department of Health issued nine statutory notices under Regulation R638, and seized numerous expired, damaged, repacked, and unlabeled products.
