A notorious robbery suspect was apprehended by Reaction Officers in the Verulam CBD – KZN today (Thursday).
The complainant contacted Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) at approximately 13:47 after he spotted a man who was part of a Gang of four (4) responsible for robbing him on Todd Street in Verulam – KZN a week ago. The caller provided a clothing description of the suspect and the location he was seen loitering.
RUSA Members converged on the parking lot of a business premises, but the suspect had already fled. Officers intensified the search and located the wanted male a short distance away. He was immediately restrained. The 28-year-old suspect is confirmed to be part of a gang that terrorised pedestrians and shoppers in the Verulam CBD – KZN.
He is currently detained at SAPS.
