A 26 year old man was shot multiple times during a home invasion in Mhlasini – KZN.
The victim and his girlfriend were asleep when two armed males forced their way into his rented room.They robbed the couple of cash and cellphones before they shot the male victim three times in his left leg. The robbers then fled in an unknown direction.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to the scene at approximately 02:08. A 9mm bullet and spent cartridges were recovered. The female victim was not injured.
The injured male was transported privately to hospital.
