Just after 07:30pm on Friday evening ALS Paramedics responded to a Drowning incident at a private residence in Admiral Road in the Bluff area South of Durban.
Paramedics arrived to find a vehicle leaving to rush a Two-year-old little boy to Hospital and immediately took over the scene. The child is believed to have drowned in a residential pool and was found floating. Neighbors assisted in pulling the child from the water. The child showed no signs of life, and immediately, paramedics began to try and resuscitate.
Paramedics rushed the little boy to a nearby Hospital whilst attempting to resuscitate the child and this continued into the Hospital. Despite a lengthy effort by Advanced Life Support Paramedics and Doctors the child was declared deceased a short while after arriving at Hospital.
At this stage the exact circumstances leading up to the Drowning is unknown however SAPS were in attendance and will be investigating further.
