50-Year-old pots stolen from a temple in Drift

Four large copper cooking pots were among several items stolen from the Shri Siva Subramaniar Alayam Templein Drift – KZN during a burglar on Friday evening.

Suspects broke into the feeding section of the temple and stole electrical cables, dishes and the copper pots. The pots are estimated to be 50 years old and weigh approximately 20 kilograms each.

It is believed that they were stolen by drug addicts and may have been sold to a local scrap.
