Brothers forced to point out valuables during home invasion in Trenance Park

15-Year-old twin brothers were woken and forced to point out valuables to armed suspects during a home invasion on Marula Circle in Trenance Park – KZN.

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to the property at approximately 08:34. On arrival, Reaction Officers were informed that three armed suspects entered the property through an unlocked driveway gate while a fourth suspect remained in a white Toyota Etios (registration unknown).

The robbers entered the residence and confronted a 52-year-old man. They assaulted and instructed him to lay in the ground. One suspect kept observation over him while two of his accomplices entered a bedroom where they discovered the sleeping brothers. The boys were woken and forced to point out the location of their valuables.

The suspects stole three cellphones, a 49 inch LG TV, perfumes, fishing equipment, takkies and a Nintendo gaming console. The gunmen also demanded keys to a white Hyundai Accent with registration NJ 95933 which they used to flee the scene.

The elder male victim sustained minor injuries.
