Earlier this week, Mi7 medical teams came across a suspicious individual in the Scottsville area, carrying a black filled with copper elements.
They radioed the information in to Mi7 Reaction Officers, and while waiting, proceeded to stop the individual.
Mi7 Reaction Officers were there within minutes, and when the suspect spotted them arriving, immediately dropped the items and fled, scaling the wall of a property on Fairfield Road to escape.
But he was quickly apprehended.
Upon questioning, the suspect admitting to stealing copper pipes from a property on Shores Road.
The matter was handed over to the police for further investigation.
