The public is requested to be on the lookout for 3-year-old Lethemba Thwala.
Thwala was on the shores of Umdloti Beach in KZN when he walked away from his family while playing.
He is wearing a red swimming trunk.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) are currently searching.
