A man in his twenties has been declared deceased after a drowning incident in a residential pool in Bale Avenue in Montclair, South of Durban this afternoon.
ALS Paramedics responded to the scene just after 14:45 to find SAPS in attendance and were shown inside to a pool area.
It is believed a friend found the young male in the pool after the incident and pulled him from the pool and attempted to resuscitate him however he was not able to.
Unfortunately, there was nothing Paramedics could do for the man and he was declared deceased on the scene.
At this stage the events leading up to the drowning are unknown however SAPS will be investigating further.
