1.8m Boomslang captured in Osindisweni

A 1.8 meter Boomslang was captured on a property in Osindisweni – KZN yesterday.

Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Area Manager Nkosinathi Ndaba was dispatched after the resident spotted a green snake in a hedge. On arrival, the RUSA Member identified the reptile as a Boomslang. Its venom is Hemotoxic and comprises of blood clothing mechanisms. Its bite can be fatal to humans.

Ndaba captured the snake and handed it over to Ndlondlo Reptile Park for release.
