The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Taxi Task Team Unit Officers, arrested male suspect aged thirty for Reckless and Negligent driving in the Zonkezizwe Kathlehong area.
While Officers were conducting crime prevention duties on Kaunda Street, they spotted a white Toyota Quantum driving at an excessive speed, overtaking vehicles and endangering oncoming traffic.
Officers immediately gave chase and cornered the vehicle at a T-junction, he was immediately handcuffed and placed under arrest. He was detained at Zonkizizwe Police Station, facing charges of reckless and negligent driving. He is expected to appear at Palmridge Magistrate’s Court soon.
