A 42 year old man was stabbed twice in the back during a home invasion on Frog Road in Waterloo – KZN this morning (Monday).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were dispatched to the scene at approximately 08:54. On arrival, it was established that four males in a champagne/brown Toyota Corolla (registration unknown) drove into the yard.
Three individuals alighted from the vehicle and forced their way into the residence. Two suspects were armed with firearms and the third was in possession of a knife. They confronted two men in the home and bound their hands with tape and cable ties.
One of the victims was stabbed twice while the robbers ransacked the home in search of valuables. A Techno cellphone, a Nokia cellphone and an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen. The suspects thereafter fled in an unknown direction.
The victim proceeded privately to a local medical facility for assistance.
