Police are investigating a case of murder after a balaclava-clad man shot and killed three women in a house in Lusikisiki last night.
It is alleged that on Thursday, 20 February 2025 around 22:00, an unknown man wearing a balaclava stormed into a house in Sitshayelo locality, Zalu A/A (Lusikisiki), and asked for the whereabouts of a family member (33), who was believed was in the bedroom at the time.
It is further said that her mother (69) and sister (44) tried to intervene, and were both shot, and the suspect proceeded to the bedroom, where he found his intended victim and shot her several times. The three victims (all women) were declared dead at the scene.
The motive for the brutal and senseless murder of the women is unknown at this stage.
