A man sustained injuries to his head after he was pistol whipped during a home invasion in Waterloo – KZN during the early hours of this morning (Tuesday).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) arrived at the residence on Buttercup Place and found the victim bleeding from his head. He explained that he was woken by a loud noise. Five (5) males confronted and overpowered him.
One (1) of the suspects was armed with a blank firearm. He fired multiple shots in the house before he pistol whipped the victim. The robbers ransacked the residence and stole a Huawei cellphone, laptop and a 32 inch TV before they fled in an unknown direction. Several spent blank cartridges were recovered.
Reaction Officers conducted an extensive search, but no arrests were made.
