Lichtenburg Crime Prevention members arrested a 35-year-old man during intelligence driven operation on Thursday afternoon, 27 February 2025, for possession of housebreaking implements.
The arrest stemmed from the operationalisation of information pertaining to the suspect’s whereabouts and involvement in business burglaries in and around Kieserville, Lichtenburg. Upon arresting the suspect in Beyers Naude Street, police found him in possession of a backpack that contained tools allegedly used for committing burglaries. He was linked to a business burglary committed at Kieserville, Lichtenburg. It was also established that the suspect has a pending burglary case.
The suspect is expected to appear before the Lichtenburg Magistrates Court on Monday, 03 February 2025.
The Acting Provincial Commissioner of North West, Major General Patrick Asaneng commended the team for their tireless efforts in tracking and arresting a repeat offender.
