Police are investigating murder that occurred at a farm in the early hours of Thursday.
On 20 March 2025, at approximately 02:00 police were summoned to a farm outside Thaba Nchu for reports of murder. It is alleged that three unknown males armed with firearms impersonating police officers, arrived at the farm calling out the deceased’s name. The suspects forcibly entered the residence by breaking down the door and locked a female and another fellow employee in the room. They then confronted the 30-year-old deceased, demanding information about missing sheep while assaulting him with fists and an iron thread puller.
At approximately 05:00, the female managed to escape the locked room and discovered the victim’s body face down with injuries and bruises on the head and body. Thaba Nchu police were called to the scene and a case of murder was opened for investigation. A manhunt was imediately launched for the armed suspects and no arrests made yet.
