The police in Ohrigstad under Sekhukhune District have arrested four male suspects aged between 28 and 44 for possession of a motor vehicle allegedly stolen in Giyani. The suspects are expected to appear before the Ohrigstad Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 24 March 2025.
The arrests follow an intelligence-driven operation conducted on Sunday afternoon, 23 March 2025. Information was received by Ohrigstad SAPS members regarding a sedan motor vehicle allegedly stolen in the Giyani policing area earlier this month. Acting swiftly, the police activated the intelligence operation, resulting in the successful interception of the vehicle with four male occupants.
The suspects were immediately taken into custody and charged with possession of a suspected stolen motor vehicle. The vehicle has been seized as part of the ongoing investigation.
The Provincial Commissioner of Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, has commended the team for their swift action and dedication to combating crime in the province.
