Delmas and N1 Highway on-ramp direction South
Units involved: Bull Security Tactical units and Brooklyn SAPS
Yesterday on a routine patrol one of our tactical members received an LPR trigger on a Black Volkswagen Up with registration number xxxxxxGP.
The vehicle was flagged for theft on a Potchefstroom case where cell phones were stolen from students, but a case wasn’t opened.
Our member spotted the vehicle on the Delmas Road corner Nossob at the red traffic light. Backup were called to the other tactical units.
The suspect’s vehicle were followed and was ready to go on to the Highway direction Johannesburg. Our tactical officer flagged the driver down to stop the vehicle.
Once the vehicle stopped, all tactical units arrived. Inside the vehicle were three suspects. The suspects were instructed to get out of the vehicle. Upon searching the vehicle there were 2x black refuse bags. Inside the bags were suspected stolen goods.
Brooklyn SAPS attended the scene, and all three suspects were arrested and taken to Brooklyn Police Station. The suspects failed to provide a receipt to the suspected stolen goods with some of it with its original price tags and coat hangers from an unknown store. The suspect’s vehicle will be booked into SAPS13. The suspected stolen property was indexed into the SAPS13 in evidence bags.
The estimated total value of the products amounts to R22 000.00
Well done to our tactical units and Brooklyn SAPS.
