Just after 13.45pm, the KZN VIP Control Centre received a request for assistance as a suspect was apprehended by alert community members on Brackenwood, Woodview
Upon arrival, KZN VIP Officers found that the suspect, a male was detained by local residents and found with new household pots and other items. The suspect was unable to answer as to where he had obtained the valuables from.
Further inspection revealed a document in the suspect’s possession that was linked to an address in the Woodview are which lead the KZN VIP Officers to the scene of crime, from where the items were stolen.
The items were confirmed stolen by the owner. The matter was handed over to the relevant authorities for further investigation.
