A 26-year-old habitual criminal who targeted copper pipes & light fittings in Brindhaven – KZN has been arrested by Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA).
Reaction Officers were despatched to Glenhaven Drive this morning at 06:22 (Monday) after the suspect gained entry onto a property and removed valuables. Officers were given a description of the perpetrator & circulating this information to other responding vehicles.
Reaction Officers spotted the suspect on the R102 approx one (1) kilometers from the scene. A foot chase ensued & the suspect was apprehended while trying to conceal himself in a bush.
A large bladed knife & the stolen items were recovered in his possession.
