Major General Rudolph Adolph lauded the joint effort by Cacadu Visible Policing (Vispol), Vehicle Crime Investigation Unit (VCIU), Stocktheft, Dog Unit (K9) for the recovery of two suspected stolen vehicles on 21 April 2025, during a Safer Easter operation. A 19 and 33 year old suspect will soon appear before Cacadu Magistrate’s Court for allegations of possession of a stolen vehicle and a suspected stolen vehicle.
The joint team embarked on a safer Easter Holiday in areas around Cacadu Central Business District (CBD), Mount Arthur and Bengu area. Vehicles were stopped and searched and that led to the recovery of a stolen Toyota bakkie with canopy and a suspected stolen Isuzu bakkie also with a canopy. The 19 year old suspect will also be charged for driving without a valid driver’s license.
The operation further led to the recovery of 6 suspected stolen cattle and eight sheep at Mount Arthur area. The livestock has since been transported to Komani for pounding. The enquiry docket has been opened and investigations are ongoing.
