Welkom Public Order Police (POP) members continue to make strides by clamping down on wanted suspects.
On Saturday, 26 April 2025 members received information on the whereabouts of two suspected murderers. Information was operationalised, and the alleged suspects were traced to a house in Bronville. Two male suspects aged 23 were arrested for murder.
In a separate incident on Sunday, 27 April 2025 members were busy with their crime combating duties. They received and traced information on the whereabouts of three murder suspects. It led them to a house in Thabong where the three suspects aged 19 and 34 were subsequently arrested for murder.
The five male suspects who were wanted for murder are expected to make their appearances in the Welkom Magistrate’s Court soon.
