A man was critically injured when he was knocked by a vehicle on the N3, close to the Church Street off ramp in Pietermaritzburg, last night.
It is understood the man, about 20 years of age, was crossing the road when he was knocked.
ER24 paramedics along with other services arrived on scene and found that the man had sustained multiple injuries.
He was assessed and treated. He was transported to a local hospital for further treatment.
Authorities were on scene.
