A miner was killed in a rockfall at Harmony Gold’s Tshepong mine in the Free State, the company said on Monday.
“The rockfall occurred at approximately 12.45 on Saturday in a working place some 1 843 metres below surface,” the company said in a statement.
Management and mineral resources department officials were investigating.
