A fifteen-month-old girl is in a serious but stable condition in the Netcare Umhlanga Hospital after a near drowning at their Virginia home this afternoon.
While details surrounding what transpired remain vague, it is thought that the girl had been playing near the pool. A worker at the house found the child floating in the pool and pulled her from the water.
Netcare911 Paramedics arrived at the scene within minutes and immediately began efforts to revive the lifeless child. Her level of consciousness increased and she was rushed by ambulance to hospital for further care.
She remains in a critical condition.
