A waste technician, believed to be in his late thirties, was killed in an accident that occurred in Uitsig, Durbanville.
It is alleged that the man was giving the waste removal truck a guide while it reversed. The man is believed to have then tripped and fell, which resulted in the truck riding over him.
When paramedics arrived on the scene they found the man lying next to the back of the truck, he had sustained severe trauma and was sadly already dead.
Police were in attendance and are investigating the incident.
