During the morning 24 October 2015 at about 01:50 police followed up information about a large amount of drugs being kept in a vehicle in Gugulethu.
A Toyota Fortuner was found at the address in Gugulethu. K9 positively indicated drugs under the back seat of the vehicle. Mandrax, Cocaine and rocks with estimated street value of R1.9 million were confiscated.
Two suspects, a male and a female aged 50 and 57 years were arrested and are facing possession of drugs charges . Both suspects are expected to appear in the Athlone Magistrates’ Court soon.
