A man was left critically injured this afternoon after he fell five metres from a supermarket rooftop on Dorp Road in Fochville.
ER24 paramedics were returning to their branch when they were flagged down by the patient’s colleagues.
The man was found lying on the floor, being treated by some first aiders from the supermarket.
On assessment, paramedics found that the man was in a critical condition, with serious injuries to his head and back.
Paramedics treated then patient and provided him with advanced life support interventions. He was thereafter airlifted by the ER24 Helicopter to a private hospital in Johannesburg for further treatment.
Local authorities were on scene to investigate further.
