At 05h30 on Sunday morning Netcare 911 paramedics responded to a collision on the N2 North before Moskolnick Road in Amanzimtoti. Reports from the scene indicate that a vehicle traveling south aquaplaned on the waterlogged highway , plunged down an embankment and collided with another vehicle on the North Bound lane.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and found that a man and a woman miraculously escaped with only minor injuries. The patients were treated at the scene before medics transported them to hospital for the care that they required.
