An indian male has been arrested for the theft of a motor vehicle belonging to a petroleum company located in Verulam – Kwazulu Natal.
At approx 20:32 members of Reaction Unit South Africa were called out to Redcliffe Drive in Redcliffe after receiving calls of an reckless driver that had overturned a bakkie. Upon arrival Reaction
Officers found a group of angry residents assaulting the driver for inconsiderately driving in their neighborhood. Reaction Officer found that a white Izuzu bakkie had overturned & rolled down an embankment.
Reaction Officers called the petroleum company & established that the injured driver was not an employee. Officers were informed that the bakkie had been stolen a few hours earlier.
Reaction Officers arrested the suspect & detained him at SAPS Verulam for theft of motor vehicle.
