A man was killed last night following an apparent hit-and-run on the N4 highway outside of Machadodorp in Mpumalanga.
ER24 paramedics were returning to their branch in the evening when they were flagged down by the local authorities who were closing off a lane.
Upon closer inspection, paramedics discovered the body of a man lying in the middle of the lane.
Unfortunately, the man had already succumbed to his numerous injuries. Nothing more could be done for him and he was declared dead.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
