Albert Nzula Hospital is performing Cataract blitz that started today Thursday, 25 October 2018 at Albert Nzula Hospital in Trompsburg.
The hospital screened 244 patients today and the accepted to be operated between Saturday and Sunday are 44.
The patients will be admitted on Friday, 26 October 2018 and Saturday, 27 October 2018 as well as Sunday 28 October 2018 are earmarked for surgery. The bureau of blindness is in partnership with the Department to have as many people as possible enlisted for Cataract removal. The next Cataract removal marathon will be in February 2019.
