Four suspects arrested in shootout between the police and criminals in Rosebank

Gauteng: Police in Gauteng responded quietly in arresting four suspects involved in robbery and attempted kidnapping of woman who walking at corner of Oxford road and Grisworld, Saxonworld in Rosebank.

It is alleged that police who were patrolling in the area were informed about the vehicle that robbed a woman, the vehicle was spotted. When police tried to stop the vehicle with four males which was involved in the robbery shootout issued on Saturday 19.January 2019 at about 22.00.

Three suspects were shot and injured taken to the hospital under police guard ,one suspect detained in the police cells .During the arrest police recovered the cell phone robbed from the victim and a toy gun,the arrested suspects are ages between 25 and 36.

Police are still appealing to members of the community to report any crime in their area to help in fighting crime by using crime stop on 0860010111or 10111.
The arrested suspects will appear in Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 21 January 2019.
