Cluster stations conducted safer festive season operations on Friday, 20 December, aiming to ensure members in communities feel safe and are safe. Operations were conducted around Cluster Stations
Lady Frere:
Detectives under the Command of Lieutenant Colonel Mazwi conducted operations looking for wanted suspects. During the operation, seven wanted suspects were arrested for various crimes including murder, Assault GBH and Stock theft that were recently opened.
Another suspect was arrested for possession of an unlicensed Firearm and ammunition.
Queenstown and Mlungisi station precinct:
Stop and search operation was conducted focusing on drugs and other illegal substances.
350 vehicles were stopped and searched.
04 traffic fines to the value of R5300 were issued.
06 suspects were arrested for possession of dagga and drugs
01 suspect was arrested for possession of stolen vehicle.
Dangerous weapons were also confiscated.
All suspects were detained and will appear in Lady Frere and Queenstown Magistrate’s Courts respectively.
The Cluster Commander, Major General Funeka Siganga commended the stations for their dedication during this Festive Season.
