A man was stabbed in the face and neck during a robbery in Phoenix – KZN today (Sunday).
At approximately 09:30 the Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Phoenix Operations Center received a called from a business in the area requesting assistance for the victim who was bleeding excessively from his injuries. On arrival, Medics treated the victim for stab wounds to his neck and face before transporting him to a medical facility by ambulance.
It was established that while conducting repairs on the roof of a warehouse the victim and a work colleague were approached by two suspects. The suspects drew knives and asked the two men to hand over their valuables. One of the victims attempted to fight the robbers and was stabbed during the scuffle.
The suspects stole a ladder and tools before they fled the scene on foot.
