The KwaZulu-Natal Health Department on Monday said six of the 54 people injured in a bus accident suffered fractured bones.
The accident occurred in Mvutshini area near Margate on Sunday.
It is understood the vehicle was travelling on a dirt road when the driver lost control and the bus overturned on an embankment.
Department spokesperson Chris Maxon said while some where taken to hospitals for treatment, they were also released on Sunday.
“27 people were treated in two of our hospitals…Six of them were treated as serious cases and the rest were told to go home,” he said.
