A couple was robbed of their 2007 silver Toyota Yaris with registration NT 3000 by two hitchhikers in Ottawa near Verulam.
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received a call from a member of the public requesting assistance for the couple who were left stranded at a shopping center on Old Main Road.
On arrival, the female explained that they were returning from Verulam and picked up two male hitchhikers. They then stopped at the shop to purchase cigarettes. The intoxicated couple went into the store and when they returned they found that their vehicle had been stolen. They then realised that they left the keys and cellphones in the car with the two unknown men.
